What is Warcraft III - Reign of Chaos + The Frozen Throne?

Warcraft III is the third main installment in the Warcraft series of real-time strategy video games from Blizzard Entertainment. Called Reign of Chaos, it introduced two new races in the mix (Night Elves and Undead, on top of the standard Human and Orc races in Warcraft) where the races except the Undead fight off an ancient evil that controlled the Orcs from the shadows. Released in 2002, an expansion pack was launched a year later, called The Frozen Throne, dealing with the aftermath of the defeat of this evil and the Undead, under the direction of the Lich King, ascends his rightful place as master of the Frozen Throne.
Warcraft III included some new innovations in the Warcraft formula that, until Warcraft II, was similar to Starcraft, only it was set in a high fantasy setting. Warcraft III introduced hero units, which are powerful characters with a set of skills, and creeps, monsters that are hostile to friend and foe alike. The popular game Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) originated from a custom map in Warcraft III.
World of Warcraft (WoW) released in 2004, is its direct sequel.
